My baby had really hot hands, feet and the back of her head. she has a cold and she is teething. Is that why?

A: when my son was teething, he was hot all the days but never had a high temperature. I took him to the hospital several times because he was crying like screwy and i never knew why. I thought he was sick but the nurse told me that he was only teething
